I am pleased that you have entered our web site.  Please feel free to browse our site and use any of the links and information you find.  Please visit as often as you like.  You will find frequent updates or additional features.

We plan to make this site a fully functional resource for our member sports officials as well as the colleges, schools, and leagues that either use our services or plan to use our services.  Through this site we will make available all of the important information any official or client would need.  Please feel free to contact us with your suggestions to improve or enhance this site.

I am providing this site for the benefit and use of three officials organizations.  The Mid Atlantic Collegiate Umpires (MAC) contract exclusively collegiate level baseball in the whole Mid-Atlantic region.  The Mid Atlantic Officials handles baseball, softball and volleyball contracting and assignments in the Mid-Atlantic region.  The Northern Virginia Baseball Umpires Association (NVBUA), functions primarily as a baseball umpire association in the Washington, DC metropolitan area that covers about 9 counties in Virginia and Maryland.  All together these organizations manage schedules for over 50 colleges and collegiate baseball programs, over 100 high schools, and over 50 recreational leagues.  We serve over 300 college baseball officials, over 300 additional high school and recreational baseball and softball umpires, and over 90 volleyball referees.

This WWW site is designed to be a complete resource for our officials.  Through this site a prospective sports official will be able to learn all he needs to know about joining, training, rules and procedures.  All members will be able to access information on schools, camps, field and gymnasium locations, equipment, uniforms, and rosters of officials with phone numbers and email addresses.  Members will be able to contact one another through email and forums.  This site is designed to provide all of the standing policies for the officials plus all of the current news and important announcements.  We plan to make this site attractive and functional.

I sincerely hope that you will use this resource and come to trust the information provided.  Please participate in the forums, use the email, make suggestions, and above all – visit often.
