uniform in dug out. No Scorekeeper.
HELMETS: Must be worn by batters, on deck batters, base runners, players
in coaches boxes, and all bat boys/girls while out of the bench or dug outs.
CATCHERS: Any player or coach warming up a pitcher at home
plate must wear a mask and throat protector. Catchers must wear helmet and cup.
TRIPS TO MOUND: A Pitcher must be removed as a pitcher after the
second visit to the same pitcher in the same inning. While on defense, a
pitching change counts as a visit.
MALICIOUS CONTACT: Malicious contact at or near home plate will result in
RUNNER being called OUT and EJECTED from the game. Contact at any other base can
be considered unsportsmanlike.
RE-ENTRY: Starters (not substitutes) may be withdrawn and re-entered back

reached the batter.
PITCHING LIMITATIONS: 13 to 15 year old pitchers may not pitch in more
than 7 innings per calendar week. Any 5 to 12 year old Cal Ripken pitcher may not
pitch in more than 6 innings per week. All weeks for pitching purposes begin on
Monday and end on Sunday. One pitch delivered in any inning will count as an
inning pitched. Pitchers must have two days rest between pitching assignments if
they pitch more that 3 innings. (2 innings for Bambino)
SPECIAL PITCHING RULES FOR 5 to 15 Year Old TOURNAMENTS:
The regular
season rules for innings per week are waived in District, State, and Regional
Tournaments. For these tournaments no pitcher may pitch in more than 7 innings
in any 2 consecutive games. For Cal Ripken the limit is 6 innings in any 2
consecutive games.
LENGTH OF GAME IN TOURNAMENTS: All tournament games must be played
to completion (full 7 innings or 6 if Cal Ripken). Once a game is started, it must
be completed. The only provision for a shortened game is the 10 RUN RULE.
If a team is ahead by 10 or more runs after 5 innings (4 innings in Cal Ripken) if
both teams had an equal number of at bats, the game is over.
WEARING OF BABE RUTH PATCH: Umpires should wear their Babe Ruth patch on
the LEFT SLEEVE. This patch must be worn in all tournament games.
